IFAT 2026 as a platform for innovation, exchange and the LEO Ultimate
02. June 2026

IFAT in Munich is a key event for the environmental technology industry, and this year made it clear why, once again. With a total of 18 fully booked halls and a sprawling outdoor area, it ranks among the largest trade fairs in the world. The audience that made its way to Munich in early May was equally diverse.
International Diversity and Great Curiosity
Our impressions of the trade show are thoroughly positive. We found the event to be very successful, thanks to the strong international presence. Around 42% of our contacts came from Germany, with the remaining visitors hailing from nearly 30 other countries.
We were particularly impressed by the diversity of the audience; From groups of students from Croatia exploring new technologies out of pure interest to seasoned industry experts and businesspeople. Even tech-savvy retirees took the opportunity to learn about current developments.
It was precisely this mix that defined the trade show: an open, curious, and inspiring atmosphere that could be felt throughout the entire venue.

Innovation-Driven Atmosphere and Clear Trends
The industry is undergoing a transformation. In many conversations, topics such as connectivity, data availability, and digitalization were clearly the focus.
Several distinct trends emerged. Demand for remote transmission solutions continues to grow, as does the need for cloud connectivity. At the same time, interest in automated data analysis is increasing to better understand processes and make them more efficient.
The topic of artificial intelligence was also very prominent. Many visitors are already working with predictive analytics to detect deviations early on and make more informed decisions.
Focus on applications with the LEO Ultimate as the centerpiece
With a 40 m² booth, we were right in the thick of things. A particular eye-catcher was our 110-inch large screen, on which we visualized various applications from the world of KELLER Pressure. The combination of real-world use cases and vivid presentations was very well received by visitors and made it easy to strike up a conversation.
Another highlight of our trade show presence was the exclusive pre-launch of the new LEO Ultimate. Even from a distance, a nearly two-meter-tall model of the pressure gauge on the roof of our booth drew attention. Many visitors took the opportunity to get a first impression of the new device, and the response was consistently positive.
The high level of interest shows that powerful yet user-friendly measurement solutions are in greater demand today than ever before.

Encounters that last
Beyond the technology, it was above all the conversations that made the trade show special for us.
We were able to further strengthen existing customer relationships, establish numerous new contacts, and discuss concrete project ideas directly on-site. The personal exchange not only provided valuable insights but also new inspiration for future solutions.
At the same time, IFAT offered an ideal platform for international dialogue. Our colleagues from the Asia and South America regions also made targeted use of the trade show for customer meetings and partner discussions. Within a short time, this led to intensive encounters and a direct exchange across projects and market requirements.
This global dialogue was complemented by a visit from our Turkish partner ZETA Enerji, who was represented at the trade fair for several days and made extensive use of the opportunity for personal interaction on-site. Such encounters once again underscore the importance of IFAT as a central meeting place for international collaboration within the KELLER Pressure network.
Team spirit even after the trade show closes
In addition to the intense days at the trade show, there was also plenty of time for personal interaction within the team. After the trade show closed, we used the evenings to explore downtown Munich together and share impressions, deepen conversations, and develop new ideas over dinner.
In a lively atmosphere, we wrapped up the days with many conversations and new insights well into the late evening. It was precisely this exchange away from the hustle and bustle of the trade show that further strengthened team cohesion and made IFAT a special experience internally as well.

What remains and what we make of it
IFAT 2026 has once again confirmed:
Environmental technology is increasingly becoming a key global industry, and requirements for measurement and sensor technology are changing dynamically.
Our key insights:
- Data availability is becoming a decisive factor
- Integration and networking are central customer requirements
- The market is clearly moving toward intelligent, predictive systems
Armed with these insights, we look forward to building on the connections we’ve made, deepening our discussions, and driving concrete projects forward.
